Frequently asked questions

What does it mean you make fine furniture and art? Do you make things from barn wood or do you upcycle furniture?

Our furniture is for those looking for modern and traditional furniture and art, that is handcrafted and made to be passed down for generations. While we love seeing pre-loved furniture getting a new life and old barn wood turned into farmhouse tables and other designs, that’s not what we do. Our pieces are unique, one-of-a-kind using old world joinery with a modern aeshetic design. Our handcrafted work takes time and that does come at a price.

I understand you're located in Wisconsin, but I live far away from there. Where do you ship to?

We ship across the U.S. and worldwide. As long as there’s a shipping company that delivers to you, we can send it your way.

How do I buy something I see on your website?

Many of the pieces seen on this site are already a beautiful addition to someone’s home or office. However, there is a piece here and there that hasn’t yet gone to a good home. Contact us and inquire. If we no longer have a particular piece – since our furniture and art isn’t mass produced – we can create something similar for you.

I have an idea for a piece of furniture, can you make it for me?

Yes. We enjoy making custom furniture, art and decor. We’ll talk with you to get an idea of what you’re looking for, and if you have a photo or drawing of what you have in mind as a guide for us, we’ll take a look. We don’t copy designs, so the final piece will be taylored to what you want coupled with our craftsmanship.

How long does it take to receive a custom piece that you'll make for me?

The timing varies on the complexity of your project. Timing is discussed during our conversations so you are fully aware of when you may expect to receive your piece. It should be noted, though, that each piece is handcrafted which takes time. Plus, there’s the designs conversation we have with you and the sourcing of the wood to be used. We’re talking a month, or even more, not days or a couple of weeks.

What type of woods do you use?

All kinds. We use the wood best suited for the designs we create or that fit best with your vision. Sometimes the wood comes first then a design is imagined, and sometimes it’s the other way around. We particularly enjoy working with Bubinga, Maple, and Cherry.

What payment methods to you accept?

We accept payment through Paypal, which allows you to pay using your credit card or bank account. We require 50% in advance and the rest upon the project’s completion before we ship it to you.

What is your return and refund policy?

We do not accept returns and refunds on custom pieces; however, we do our best to make you happy with the final product. Should there be an occasion where you purchase an item we’ve already produced (not custom) and you wish to return it, we can only accept pieces back if we determine there is a major problem with it due to an issue on our end. We would require photos of the item documenting the reason given for the return/refund request; depending on the issue, you may have to pay for shipment back to us.

What are you shipping methods and costs?

Shipment varies upon where in the U.S. or worldwide we are sending something. You’ll know shipping method and cost before making your final purchase decision.
